Kashmir-Social media and shut down internet

Jammu and Kashmir People's Leauge Chairman told Writer-South Asia: "Since we try to highlight the political reality of Kashmir and talk about the people's expectations and desires, we are tackled our activities." Unless we hold the meetings, we should not allow meetings at any time closed rooms. This series has increased since 2008.

The poltical  parties and their leaders of India's national political stream are also using social media and internet to enhance their contacts with the people.

National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Umar Abdullah, are the most active  politicians who are counted on Twitter. The number of their Twitter followers is more than 30 million. Another former Chief Minister and President of the People's Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti, has also been particularly active on Twitter since last few months to stay in contact with the influence of his constituency and reach the most possible supporters.

However, social activist and analyst Saifula Farooq sees pro-India's  and activities on social media from two different angles. He said, "If mainstream political parties and their leaders say that they are in touch with people through Twitter and other social media platforms, they are also confessing that they are far from the people. As far as separatists are concerned, social media usage is a compulsion for them, because they are not being given to meet the public. "

Ordinary people using social media also use it to express their political ideology and express their views in Indian-administered Kashmir. They put photos, videos, and more on these platforms on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms of social media.

In the year 2018, the Internet closed 32 times and 127 times partially. The total number of internet users in the entire state is Rs. 20 million. Of these, 70 million belong to the troubled valley of Kashmir, where it is now a routine to turn off Internet services.

However, the repeated ban on Internet usage has negatively impacted the local economy. Users are incomplete and especially traders and students are worried about this situation. In a careful measure, the Internet shutdown has to suffer from the loss of the daily one million rupees.

A survey of Delhi's Think tank 'International Council for Research on International Economic Relations has said that due to repeated suspension of Internet services, the Indian-administered Kashmir economy has been severely hit. Only 2012 and 2017, the vale of  Kashmir had to suffer a loss of Rs 4000 crores.
