KOTBULWAL IS ABU GHRAIB OF KASHMIR ADMITS HILAL WAR

Srinagar May 26 :  Peoples Polituical Party (PPP), Chairman, Hilal Ahmad War, has denouncing the continued inhuman torture to the Freedom Fighters of Kashmir and political prisoners detained in Kotbulwal Jail at the hands of Jail Superintendent, Rajni Sehgal on daily basis. The revealation made by Muslim League activists, Javaid Ahmad Najar before the Session Court on May 23rd, 2011 has exposed the Indiand authorities and is the eye opener for the International Human Rights Organizations and ICRC in particular. Mr. Javaid Ahmad Najar has opened his shirt and showed the marks of torture before the Court and narrated that detainees are not only being subjected to mental and physical torture but also undressed by Jail superintendent, Rajni Sehgal. The Kotbulwal Jail has been converted Kashmiri’s Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay.

Mr.War appealed the International Human Rights Organizations (Amnesty International, Asia watch, Human Rights Watch etc.) and U.N. Secretary General to take the serious notice of case and take up the issue in International Foras and also with New Delhi against gross Human Rights violations at the hands of Indian authorities either through its occupational forces stationed in Jammu and Kashmir or through Police and Jail authorities.

PPP Chief urged World Community to raise these issues with the Indian government, and in particular to express concern about the lack of accountability for human rights violations, which often results in an unending cycle of violence and retribution.

In Jammu and Kashmir the armed forces have committed torture, enforced disappearances, and targeted killings disguised as shoot-outs. These abuses are facilitated by Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), which gives the army widespread powers to search, arrest, and use lethal force, while assuring immunity from prosecution.

Mr.War, said the Government of India has forgotten that in times of war, certain humainitarian rules must be observed, even with regard to the enemy. These rules are set out maily in the four Geneva Conventions of August 12, 1949 and their Additional Protocols of June 08, 1977. Once armed conflict breaks out, the Conventions and Protocols shall be applicable in all cincumstances.

Since ICRC is the custodian of Geneva Conventions, therefore, it is obligatory for ICRC to take a serious note of violation of Geneva Conventions by India which is the signatory of 4 Geneva Conventions.

In a statement issued here, War flayed the authorities for detaining Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, ‘General’ Moosa, Peer Saifuullah, Mehraj-ud-Din Kalwal, Asiya Andrabi, Javaid Ahmad Najar, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat ( Islamic Rage Boy of Kashmir ) , Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Shakeel Ahmad Bakshi, Shakeel Ahmad Sofi, Shabir ahmad Bukhari, Dr. Qasim Faktoo, Masarat Alam Bhat, Abdul Ahad Parra, Imtiyaz Ahmad , Tariq Ahmad Molvi, Molvi Bashir and several other pro-freedom leaders despite their failing health.

“The government is flouting its own rules by denying these political prisoners proper medical and other facilities guaranteed to them under jail rules,” War said.

Mr.War said most of the leaders were detained under “false and concocted cases under raconian laws” despite court orders to release them.

PPP Chairman, Mr. Hilal Ahmad War , termed the detention of political prisoners under draconian law , Public Safety Act ( PSA) an inhuman act and asked Amnesty International and other international Human Rights Organizations to take serious notice of the issue and press Government of India for the prisoners’ release.(Writer-South Asia )

Indian troops martyr 14 more innocent youth

Srinagar, September 07:  The Indian authorities in have imposed strict curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar and other cities and towns following the killing of 14 innocent civilians in police firing at Palhalan in Pattan and other parts of Kashmir, yesterday. The four civilians including two teenagers were martyred and over a dozen others injured when the personnel of Indian police opened indiscriminate firing on protesters at Butt Mohalla in Palhalan.

Veteran Kashmiri writer and freedom fighter, Hilal Ahmad War, who has been placed under house arrest in Srinagar by the occupation authorities, in a statement strongly denounced the civilian killings in Palhalan. He said that India could not suppress Kashmiris’ liberation struggle through such tactics. The veteran leader called for a complete shutdown, tomorrow, to protest against the killings and appealed the people to observe the day as Prisoners’ Day.

The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, Farida Bahenji and other pro-movement leaders and organisations in their separate statements termed the killing of four civilians in Pattan as the worst form of Indian state terrorism.

On the other hand, Indian troops, during their fresh siege and search operation, martyred 14 more innocent Kashmiri youth in Nowshera area of Gurez. Earlier, two troopers were killed in an attack in the same area. (Writer-South Asia)

‘Youths have given fresh lease of life to movement’ WAR QUESTIONS MIRWAIZ’S ‘UNITY’ MOVE

Srinagar, Sep 06: PPP Chairman Engineer Hilal Ahmed War has questioned Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s hollow unity initiative terming it as mere political stunt. War said that Kashmiris who are laying down their lives for the attainment of right to self-determination cannot be fooled by such gimmicks. “More than sixty youths have been martyred by police and paramilitary for raising their voice against Indian occupation and nobody would be allowed to play with their blood,” said War adding “I think Mirwaiz hasn’t done enough homework or else it is some foreign idea which Mirwaiz wants to experiment.” War said that unity shouldn’t be restricted to three people offering Eid namaaz. “Such trinity shows can’t be used to hoodwink the masses.  These are mere photo-ops and the pro-freedom leadership needs to be more practical,” said War.

“It is beyond me why Mirwaiz called All Parties Meeting at Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal in the month of June if his definition of unity is bringing just two more people in confidence. Confining the effort to three  people and barring other pro-freedom parties and genuine resistance forces is highly questionsable,” said War.

He said that the resistance movement has reached the decisive phase and the Kashmiri youths are doing a commendable job by taking it out from mosques and shrines by reaching out to the world through all possible means. “From internet resistance to street resistance, Kashmiri youths have given a fresh lease of life to the movement spilling their blood for the attainment of the right to
self-determination,” said Er Hilal War.

He said Mirwaiz needs to refrain from such futile, childish exercises and try to understand the dynamics of Kashmir issue.

India is a Foreign Occupying Power in J & K: Hilal War

By: Johan Simth
Srinagar: August,15: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP) Chairman, Hilal Ahmad War lashed out Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said that Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh’s independence speech amply reflects Indian ideology and thinking and has exposed the Indian tyrannical face and its colonial policy whereby he said that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.  Mr. Manmohan Singh should ask a 6 year old child of Kashmir that why he is writing on his slate ‘Go India Go’, it is not the violence but a strong sentiment which has its roots in 63 years long history ever since the Indian troops entered Kashmir illegally. Mr.Abdul Ahad Jan, a Sub Inspector of J & K Police who  hurled his official shoes on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and chanted Azadi slogans is an eye opener for Indian Prime Minister that their own cops realized that India is a oppressor and an occupying foreign power in Kashmir.   We strongly condemn his statement. PPP reiterate that India is a foreign illegal occupying power in Jammu & Kashmir, said Mr. War. The Statement clearly indicates that Prime Minister of India has lost his vision and wisdom whereby he has forgotten pledges on Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in Indian Parliament and in United Nation, Security Council. He has also forgotten that it is the India’s illegal occupation and its pledges at UNO which has made India a de-facto party to Kashmir Dispute.

War said the situation demands that India and Pakistan should come forward with fresh mind and approach with a single agenda to resolve Kashmir dispute which is the bone of contention between two nuclear powers. Unresolved Kashmir is the biggest hurdle for the peace, progress and development of this South-Asian Region. He once again reiterated that war is no solution to any problem and the initiation of composite dialogue between India and Pakistan is must to break the ice.

PPP chairman stated that a lingering Kashmir dispute will strengthen armed and unarmed freedom fighters in Kashmir. It will also invite an onslaught of Muslim groups in India. Muslim groups may spill over from Srinagar to the rest of India. Therefore, Indian decision-makers need to earnestly resolve all disputes with Pakistan, including the core issue of Kashmir, because no sane Indian decision- maker could, any longer, keep the future of over a billion Indians' social and economic well-being hostage to the Kashmir conflict. India needs to break free from its narrow foreign policy on Kashmir now. For that to happen, India needs to move beyond its stance that Kashmir is an ``integral part''. The Prime Minister of India, Dr.Manmohan Singh, needs to enact his role of a bold visionary and consider a solution to Kashmir outside the rubric of Indian federalism. Because unresolved Kashmir issue is causing constant potential threat to Nuclear War hovering over the whole subcontinent and can engulf the whole world at any point of time.

God forbid, if war breaks it will engulf whole world and undoubtedly India will be a Big looser. India is well aware of the Pakistan’s missile programme which is more powerful than India. Therefore, if war breaks out between two nuclear powers the Metropolitan cities of India will be wiped out. This war will prove a waterloo for India. Therefore, let’s hope good sense prevails upon Govt. of India and its warmongers so that they understand the dynamics and consequences of this unfortunate war, and will explore other peaceful options to settle all outstanding issues with Pakistan including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mr. War said, the one and half billion people of this region have every legitimate right to intervene as they are the real stakeholders of peace and to discourage warmongers of India and impress upon Govt. of India to give diplomacy a full chance to find out ways and means to settle Kashmir Dispute and combat the enemies of peace by exposing them. In order to prevent the South-Asian Region from erupting to the prejudice and detriment of the global peace the long-standing Kashmir dispute urgently need to be solved amicably within the framework of fundamental Human Rights and justice to the concerned struggling people.

Let’s make it clear that in case India does not soften its Kashmir Policy and continues to demonstrate obduracy on one pretext or other, then the situation in J & K State shall uncontrollably flair up and disturb the peace and security in the length and breadth of Indian soil.(Writer-South Asia)

PPP Chief asked employees Unions to launch a Civil Disobedience Movement

Srinagar: People’s Political Party ( PPP) Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War attending the prayers meeting ( Fathah Khawani) of teenager , Inayat Amin Khan of Dalgate who was killed at the hands of CRPF troopers last Friday when he has on his way to buy a laptop. Whiling paying rich tributes, Mr.War demanded that an independent Enquiry Commission should be set-up to probe the death and punish the perpetrators under International Humanitarian law.

War said that Independent Enquiry Commission should be constituted by some retired High Court Judge assisted by Kashmir Bar Association. He lashed out at so-called leaders of pro-freedom fraternity by not taking serious measures in Inayat’s Case and accused the leadership who got miserably failed in pleading the Kashmir case domestically and internationally. PPP Chief, lambasted the employees federation and their Unions for shedding crocodile tears for the martyrs of Kashmir and freedom of Kashmir. Mr.War, said these people are fighting for 6th pay Commission and other perks not for the freedom of Kashmir. He said these employees leaders have made Indian grip stronger in Kashmir by demanding perks. He said, if these employees leaders are sincere they must launch a Civil Disobedience Movement and fight for the Right of Self-determination of Kashmir not for 6th Pay Commissions and other incentives. He reiterated that if the killers cops are left unpunished, Kashmiris will be forced to go for a all-out war against India like Algerian people fought against France. (Writer-South Asia)
