Lal Chowk Chalo

Chalo programmes of the past few years include Lal Chowk Chalo, which were always prevented by authorities and have been suspended for the time being; Muzaffarabad Chalo (August 11, 2008), when communalist groups from Jammu blocked the Srinagar-Jammu highway and the Valley’s fruit-growers sought an alternative route to transport their produce to outside markets. Most Senior militant leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz was killed during this march.
