11th August Foundation (J&K) expresses grief on the death of labourers

Srinagar, Jan 1: 11th August Foundation spokesperson, Tahir Hamadani on Friday, Jan 1 condoled the death of 10 people, most of them labourers working on a road tunnel project, after they were charred to death in a fire incident in Ramban region of Jammu and Kashmir. The victims were working for a private firm and were engaged in construction work on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.

The dead were identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed Bhat, Sheikh Irfan, Nasir-ud-din Shar residents of Banihal, Rohit Singh resident o Mukarian Hoshiarpur Punjab, Showkar Ali from Chandigarh, Rakesh Kumar resident of Kahanpur tehsil Daulatpur Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) ; Des Raj resident of Naja Saroor Thathri Kishtwar; Irfan Latief resident of Upper Thathri(Kishtwar), Mohammad Rafi (Dundo Hathra dist Doda) and Davinder Kumar (Jagano Udhampur).

Several injured persons have been shifted to hospital. In her condolence message, 11th August Foundation chairman Sheikh GULZAAR, conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family members and wished for speedy recovery for those injured in the incident.My heartfelt condolence nd sympathies on the tragic fire accident at RAMBAN JAMMU KASHMIR in which more than 13 labourers were burnt alive..
