Civilian casualties in Baramulla and Balwar Jammu, Awami National Conference condemns

Investigations should be fair and transparent/ Begum Khalida Shah

Srinagar: Strongly condemning the civilian casualties in Baramulla and Balwar Jammu, Awami National Conference President Begum Khalida Shah and Senior Vice President Muzaffar Shah said that we had hoped that such incidents would not happen but unfortunately it has happened. In a statement issued to the press, Begum Khalida Shah and Muzaffar Shah said that a local truck driver was killed in army firing in Sangrama Baramulla while a civilian died in police custody in Balwar Khutha, which are extremely sad incidents. They said that these are sad incidents and we strongly condemn them. Both the leaders said that we had hoped that such incidents would not happen but unfortunately it has happened. I request the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter. He said that the government and the Lieutenant Governor should ensure a fair investigation. He said that we will not interfere in the investigation, but we insist that it be ensured that the investigation should be fair and transparent.

Salvia Miltiorrhiza: A Key Player in Cardiovascular Health

Salvia miltiorrhiza (Chinese: 丹參; pinyin: dānshēn), also known as red sage, redroot sage, Chinese sage, or danshen, is a perennial plant in the genus Salvia, highly valued for its roots in traditional Chinese medicine.Native to China, Kashmir and Japan, it grows at 2000 to 3,200 m) elevation, preferring grassy places in forests, hillsides, and along stream banks. The specific epithet miltiorrhiza means "red ochre root".

Salvia miltiorrhiza is the red sage, which is also called as Danshen. The roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza are used to isolate herbal extract/tea for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. This plant was most widely used to treat cardiovascular diseases in Asian countries.
