Wild trees Kashmir

Sumac tree
Rhus coriaria, commonly called Sicilian sumac, tanner's sumach,  or elm-leaved sumach, is a deciduous shrub to  small tree in the  Anacardiaceae or cashew family, 
native to southern Europe. 

The dried fruits are used as a spice, particularly in  
combination with other spices in the 
mixture called za'atar.

Sage seeds Kashmir

Sage has a very long history of effective medicinal use and is an important domestic herbal remedy for disorders of the digestive system. Its antiseptic qualities make it an effective gargle for the mouth where it can heal sore throats, ulcers etc. 

The leaves applied to an aching tooth will often relieve the pain. The whole herb is antihydrotic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative, cholagogue, galactofuge, stimulant, tonic and vasodilator.

Awantipora attcak

Gunfight Rages In Awantipora Village

A gunfight between the government forces and militants has begun in Braw Bandina area of Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday morning.
Reports said that following specific input about the presence of militants, a mixture of joint forces including Army’s 55RR, SOG Pulwama and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area. Subsequently, the searches were started, however, as the forces personnel approached to the hiding spot, militants opened fire on them, triggering an encounter.

Anantnag attack: 5 CRPF , 2 militants killed; Al Umar Mujahideen claims responsibility

Anantnag attack: 5 CRPF jawans, 2 militants killed; Al Umar Mujahideen claims responsibility
Five CRPF jawans were killed and three others were injured on Wednesday when militants carried out an attack on a busy road in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. An inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police has also sustain crticial injuries. The injured have been evacuated to an army hospital.
