Terrorism will not end with Osama killing

MANGALORE: Osama Bin Laden  (54)  was killed by the American force in Pakistan on May 1,2011. The Western world and its admirers  danced   with joy.

We condemn all   terrorism. But at the same time we must also note that it is a reaction to an action.  Did they not say “Hindu terrorism” come as a reaction  to “Islamic terrorism” in India?. A major portion   of the world  any way had a different reaction.

China, the no.2 world power, had a different opinion.
In DV, we were the first to disclose   a  different version of the 9/11.  Many leading Western writers  have expressed that the 9/11 was  master-minded  by the   Mossad.  Many books have come out on the subject.

Since the West has the most powerful media it can sell   any product. That is how a major portion of the world had a different opinion on Osama killing.

However, this much can be said that terrorism will not end with Osama.

How many US SEALs died?

Islamabad: In a sensational and explosive TV report, the Pakistani News Agency has provided a live interview with an eyewitness to the U.S. attack on the alleged compound of Osama bin Laden reports TT.

The eye witness, Mohammad Bashir, describes the event as it unfolded. Of the three helicopters, “there was only one that landed the men and came back to pick them up, but as he (the helicopter) was picking them up, it blew away and caught fire.” The witness says that there were no survivors, just dead bodies and pieces of bodies everywhere. “We saw the helicopter burning, we saw the dead bodies, then everything was removed and now there is nothing.”

I always wondered how a helicopter could crash, as the White House reported, without at least producing injuries. Yet, in the original White House story, the SEALs not only survived a 40-minute firefight with Al-Qaeda, “the most highly trained, most dangerous, most vicious killers on the planet,” without a scratch, but also survived a helicopter crash without a scratch.

The Pakistani news report is available on YouTube. The Internet site, Veterans Today, posted a translation along with a video of the interview. Information Clearing House made it available on May 17.

If the interview is not a hoax and the translation is correct, we now know the answer to the unasked question: Why was there no White House ceremony with President Obama pinning medals all over the heroic SEALs who tracked down and executed Public Enemy Number One?

The notion that Obama had to keep the SEALs’ identity secret in order to protect the SEALs from al Qaeda detracts from the heroic tough guy image of the SEALs, and it strains credulity that Obama’s political handlers would not have milked the occasion for all it is worth.

Other than on the Veterans Today and ICH Internet sites, I have not seen any mention of the Pakistani news story. If the White House press corps is aware of the report, no one has asked President Obama or his press spokesperson about it. Helen Thomas was the last American reporter sufficiently brave to ask such a question, and she was exterminated by the Israel Lobby.

In America we have reached the point where anyone who tells the truth is dismissed as a “conspiracy theorist” and marginalized. Recently, a professor of nano-chemistry from the University of Copenhagen made a lecture tour of major Canadian universities explaining the research, conducted by himself and a team of physicists and engineers, that resulted in finding small particles of unreacted nano-thermite in dust samples from the wreckage of the World Trade Center towers, in addition to other evidence that the professor and the research team regard as conclusive scientific proof that the towers were brought down by controlled demolition.

No American university dared to invite him, and as far as I know, no mention of the explosive research report has ever appeared in the American press.

I find it astonishing that 1,500 architects and engineers, who actually know something about buildings, their construction, their strength and weaknesses, and who have repeatedly requested a real investigation of the destruction of the three WTC buildings, are regarded as conspiracy kooks by people who know nothing whatsoever about architecture or engineering or buildings. The same goes for the large number of pilots who question the flight maneuvers carried out during the attacks, and the surviving firemen and “first responders” who report both hearing and personally experiencing explosions in the towers, some of which occurred in sub-basements.

A large number of high-ranking political figures abroad don’t believe a word of the official 9/11 story. For example, the former president of Italy and dean of the Italian Senate, told Italy’s oldest newspaper, Corriere delia Sera, that the intelligence services of Europe “know well that the disastrous (9/11) attack has been planned and realized by the American CIA and the (Israeli) Mossad . . . in order to put under accusation the Arabic Countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part in (the invasions).”

Even people who report that there are dissenting views, as I have done, are branded conspiracy theorists and banned from the media. This extends into the Internet in addition to newspapers and TV. Not long ago a reporter for the Internet site, The Huffington Post, discovered that Pat Buchanan and I are critics of the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions. He was fascinated that there were some Reagan administration officials who dissented from the Republican Party’s war position and asked to interview me.

After he posted the interview on The Huffington Post, someone told him that I was not sound on 9/11. In a panic the reporter contacted me, demanding to know if I disbelieved the official 9/11 story. I replied that being neither architect, engineer, physicist, chemist, pilot, nor firefighter, I had little to contribute to understanding the event, but that I had reported that various experts had raised questions.

The reporter was terrified that he might somehow have given a 9/11 skeptic credibility and be fired for interviewing me about my war views for The Huffington Post. He quickly added at the beginning and, if memory serves, ending of the posted interview words to the effect that my lack of soundness on 9/11 meant that my views on the wars could be disregarded. If only he had known that I was unsure about the official 9/11 story, there would have been no interview.

One doesn’t have to be a scientist, architect, engineer, pilot or firefighter to notice astonishing anomalies in the 9/11 story. Assume that the official story is correct and that a band of terrorists outwitted not only the CIA and FBI, but also all 16 US intelligence agencies and those of our NATO allies and Israel’s notorious Mossad, along with the National Security Council, NORAD, air traffic control and airport security four times in one hour on the same morning. Accept that this group of terrorists pulled off a feat worthy of a James Bond movie and delivered a humiliating blow to the world’s only superpower.

If something like this really happened, would not the president, the Congress, and the media be demanding to know how such an improbable thing could have happened? Investigation and accountability would be the order of the day. Yet President Bush and Vice President Cheney resisted the pleas and demands for an investigation from the 9/11 families for one year, or was it two, before finally appointing a non-expert committee of politicians to listen to whatever the government chose to tell them. One of the politicians resigned from the commission on the grounds that “the fix is in.”

Even the two chairmen and the chief legal counsel of the 9/11 Commission wrote books in which they stated that they believe that members of the military and other parts of the government lied to the commission and that the commission considered referring the matter for investigation and prosecution.

Thomas Kean, chairman of the 9/11 Commission, said: “FAA and NORAD officials advanced an account of 9/11 that was untrue . . . We, to this day don’t know why NORAD told us what they told us . . . It was just so far from the truth.”

Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton said: “We had a very short time frame . . . we did not have enough money . . . We had a lot of people strongly opposed to what we did. We had a lot of trouble getting access to documents and to people. . . . So there were all kinds of reasons we thought we were set up to fail.”

As far as I know, not a single member of the government or the media made an issue of why the military would lie to the commission. This is another anomaly for which we have no explanation.

The greatest puzzle is the conclusion drawn by a national audience from watching on their TV screens the collapse of the WTC towers. Most seem satisfied that the towers fell down as a result of structural damage inflicted by the airliners and from limited, low-temperature fires. Yet what the images show is not buildings falling down, but buildings blowing up. Buildings that are destroyed by fires and structural damage do not disintegrate in 10 seconds or less into fine dust with massive steel beams sliced at each floor level by high temperatures that building fires cannot attain. It has never happened, and it never will.

Conduct an experiment. Free your mind of the programmed explanation of the towers’ destruction and try to discern what your eyes are telling you as you watch the videos of the towers that are available online. Is that the way buildings fall down from damage, or is that the way buildings are brought down by explosives? Little doubt, many Americans prefer the official story to the implications that follow from concluding that the official story is untrue.

If reports are correct, the U.S. government has gone into the business of managing the public’s perceptions of news and events. Apparently, the Pentagon has implemented Perception Management Psychological Operations. There are also reports that the State Department and other government agencies use Facebook and Twitter to stir up problems for the Syrian, Iranian, Russian, Chinese, and Venezuela governments in efforts to unseat governments not controlled by Washington. In addition, there are reports that both governments and private organizations employ “trolls” to surf the Internet and to attempt to discredit in blogs and comment sections reports and writers who are out of step with their interests. I believe I have encountered trolls myself.

In addition to managing our perceptions, much is simply never reported. On May 19, 2011, the fourteen-decade-old British newspaper, The Statesman, reported that the Press Trust of India has reported that the Chinese government has warned Washington “in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China,” and advised the U.S. government “to respect Pakistan’s sovereignty.”

As trends forecaster Gerald Celente and I have warned, the warmongers in Washington are driving the world toward World War III. Once a country is captured by its military/security complex, the demand for profit drives the country deeper into war. Perhaps this news report from India is a hoax, or perhaps the never-diligent mainstream media will catch up with the news tomorrow, but so far this extraordinary warning from China has not been reported in the U.S. media. (I had it posted on OEN.)

The mainstream media and a significant portion of the Internet are content for our perceptions to be managed by psy-ops and by non-reporting. This is why I wrote not long ago that today Americans are living in George Orwell’s 1984.

Paul Craig Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, a member of the congressional staff, and held academic appointments at Stanford University, Georgetown University, VirginiaTech, Tulane University, George Mason University, and the University of New Mexico.

Osama brings China, Pakistan, US closer

Lavetra cashmerina
Srinagar, 21 May: US Navy SEALs launched a secret operation in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad to kill Osama bin Laden which, the US says, is a victory in its war on terroris, reports China Daily 05/20/2011

The killing of bin Laden, however, has made many people question the legality of the US' unilateral action in Pakistan, Pakistani "support networks" for the Al-Qaida leader, and future US-Pakistani partnership in the fight against terrorism.

While discussing the reported row between the US and Pakistan, some US media outlets have unnecessarily dragged China into the debate. They have even speculated about China's reaction to bin Laden's death.

Quoting Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Jiang Yu's statement, one US newspaper said that China initially welcomed bin Laden's death as a positive development but later went "out of its way to praise Islamabad for its anti-terrorist stance". The report concluded that the tension between the US and Pakistan had offered "Beijing a chance to wean its oldest regional ally off its dependence on US security assistance".

To begin with, Jiang's defense of Pakistan has nothing to do with Washington's doubts over Islamabad's commitment in the hunt for bin Laden. Jiang's affirmative reply to a question about whether Beijing believed Islamabad's claim that it didn't have prior knowledge of the US operation shows China's consistent stance on Pakistan. And that should not be interpreted as China's attempt to dissuade Pakistan from supporting the US in its war on terrorism.

Indeed, China and Pakistan have enjoyed an "all-weather" friendship for six decades, and the death of bin Laden will not change that. China is aware of the dangers of extremism and Talibanization spreading across Pakistan, but it appreciates Pakistan's determination to combat terrorists and militants and recognizes the sacrifice Islamabad has made in the war on terrorism.

Sino-Pakistani friendship reflects China's "good neighborhood" policy. It's this policy that has strengthened China's ties with all its neighbors, including countries in South Asia.

As a country facing terrorist threats itself, China has worked and coordinated with the US, which is leading the war on terrorism. Since 2001, Beijing and Washington have cooperated in anti-terrorism activities, even though they have somewhat different views on the concept of "terrorism" and the approach that the anti-terrorist strategy should take.
The US lays more emphasis on military raids and strategic operations, whereas China prefers economic development, which Chinese people believe is the only way terrorism can be eradicated from the roots. But China and the US both want a stable and moderate Pakistan.

In the post-bin Laden era, Sino-Pakistani cooperation in the fight against terrorism will continue. Washington, on its part, is likely to continue its cooperation with Islamabad, because terrorism has not died with bin Laden and the US still needs Pakistan's logistical and military support in its campaign against Al-Qaida and Taliban.

US Senator John Kerry was in Islamabad a couple of days ago to try to restore the "damaged" US-Pakistani relations. And US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Islamabad soon to reassure Pakistan of her country's commitments.

So instead of creating a gulf in relations, the death of bin Laden has offered a chance to Pakistan, the US and China to work together to combat terrorism. After all, the three countries' anti-terrorism mission is still very much on.

Osama bin Laden's Jerusalem home for sale

Srinagar, 16 May:  While real-estate agents say that location is everything in considering buying a home, sometimes an infamous former owner can also be a big selling point, reports Xinhua news agency.

Ginkgo biloba : http://jkmpic.blogspot.com
Especially when it's al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's handsome digs in northern Jerusalem's Palestinian Shuafat neighborhood.

"This is a historic house, and to this day I have not talked about it with anybody," current owner Mu'in Khoury told the Yediot Ahronot Hebrew daily on Sunday.

"Bin-Laden's father came from Saudi Arabia in the 1940s, bought the house, and lived in it from time to time," Khoury said, adding that "Osama also spent time there on several occasions in the 1960s."

Since then, however, the property has changed hands many times, and came to be Israeli state property as a result of the 1967 War, and served as the Spanish consul's office.

Khoury is the latest in the line of owners of the site, which has become a well-known neighborhood landmark since the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

"The house is not for sale to anyone. But if Osama makes me an offer, I will be willing to consider it," Khoury said, according to the report.

Pakistan leans on China in face of US slams

Lavatera cashmeriana: http://jkmpic.blogspot.com
New Delhi, May 16: First impressions often tend to be lasting ones. There were many first impressions I gathered during my recent first visit to Pakistan. At the invitation of Pakistan's Ministry of Information, for eight days, I, along with eight other journalists, travelled to several cities, reports Shastri Ramachandaran (Global Times).

Of the four themes that figured through the program, predictably, Pakistan's war against terrorism and India-Pakistan relations topped the agenda. But more off than on the record was Pakistan's troubled ties with the US, worsening by the day. On the margins, outside the frame of formal interaction, a topic of much interest was Sino-Pak relations.

In Lahore, the agreements signed during Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif's "successful" five-day visit to China from April 18 made headlines, but was routine nevertheless.

So, when Foreign Ministry officials and others spoke of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani's visit to China from May 17, no eyebrows went up. After all, it was part of the year-long celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of Sino-Pak ties.

Few expected that, within a matter of days China-Pakistan relations would evoke great interest and greater speculation worldwide.

When the US struck at Bin Laden, the world erupted in jubilant applause and Pakistan came under severe fire. Pakistan was pilloried as the fount of global terrorism.

China alone supported Pakistan and stood by it in the face of global opposition. China and Pakistan had completed a strategic dialogue on May 13 to deepen cooperation on counter-terrorism. True to its stance, in the aftermath of Bin Laden's killing, China reaffirmed its cooperation with Pakistan to combat terrorism. China focused on stability in Pakistan, defended Pakistan's record of fighting terrorism and criticized the Obama administration for violating Pakistan's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.

China drew the world's attention to Pakistan's sacrifices and sufferings in combating terrorism. Pakistan could not ask for more at a time when it feels besieged, and relations with the US have hit a new nadir.

"Pakistan is again in trouble, in a difficult situation. What it urgently requires is allies' support. And, among allies, Chinese support is critical to its lifeline," observed Amna Yusaf Khokhar, a research fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies (ISS) in Islamabad.

"Instead of raising fingers at the time-tested friend's credibility, it showed support and, rather, criticized the Obama administration," she wrote in her role as editor of Asia Despatch.

More seasoned experts, too, adopted a similar stance to emphasize that China is much valued by Pakistan, and not only during a crisis.

Riaz Hussain Khokhar, former foreign secretary who has served as ambassador to China and High Commissioner to India, spoke strongly on these issues. "Pakistan and China never played games with each other. China does not really need Pakistan, but because of our sincerity, China has remained a strong friend," Khokhar told me.

Similar admiring views were expressed by others, including Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, director-general of ISS and a former ambassador toChina. Qazi, who served as Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, was also the UN Secretary-General's special envoy to Iraq and, later, Sudan.

What they don't say explicitly is more important: That Pakistan and China, even before Bin Laden's killing, but in preparation for the US drawdown in Afghanistan, have been striving to strengthen strategic cooperation in the region.

An expert at the ISS, speaking anonymously, said that Pakistan and China are joining hands to shape the region's security with Afghanistan at its center.

"The situation in Afghanistan calls for new alliances, new strategies." With US forces pulling out and Pakistan crucial for stabilizing the situation, China might emerge in a potent, new role, speculated a foreign affairs commentator.

As Qazi said, in a different context, "Every country has leverage," and the US should not take Pakistan for granted.

Gilani's four-day trip to China has assumed extraordinary significance amidst talk of a new strategic partnership with far-reaching implications, especially for the US but also for India, South Asia and the West.

In the history of China-Pakistan relations, rarely has a Pakistani prime minister's visit to Beijing attracted so much attention.

Osama Bin Laden

By: Maqsood Ahmad
Srinagar, 14 May: Pakistan has all along aligned itself with the US and NATO mainly for economic reasons and Kashmir policy as it is a historical fact that during the cold war era, India was aligned both militarily and otherwise also with the Soviet block and used to derive all kind of support from the Soviet Union particularly on Kashmir.

Soviet Union used to veto all resolutions moved in the UN Security Council on Kashmir and other Indo Pak issues in India's favour. After the disintegration of Soviet Union, it was expected that Pakistan would get all out support from the Western Block particularly the US in getting all its disputes with India particularly on Kashmir settled and would ensure implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir. Not only Pakistan but we Kashmiris also generated high hopes that our dispute  would get settled and we would be allowed to exercise of Right to Self Determination for determining the future political set up of our territory in accordance with the UN Resolutions.

Unfortunately this did not happen but instead it was US that blocked all chances Pakistan got in forcing a settlement of Kashmir dispute with India such as during the 1962 India’s China War when Pakistan was pressurized by the US not to bring any kind of military pressure on India to get the Kashmir dispute settled and also during the Kargil war when the US forced Pakistan to cease fire and return to the original positions held by it.

Besides, the US also used Pakistan against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan without giving it anything in return and has been using Pakistan against Taliban whom the US used to address as Mujahideen  when they were fighting the Soviet forces in Afghanistan, and are now calling them as terrorists. Not only that, instead of supporting Pakistan in getting its problems with India particularly on Kashmir  resolved, it is showing a tilt towards India for its economic considerations as well as its Anti Muslim and Anti Islam and Anti Kashmir policies. The United States went all out against Taliban and Osama bin Laden and killed thousands of innocent and unarmed Afghan men women and children through drone attacks on civilian population, travelers and jirgas which has even been acknowledged by the puppet ruler of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai. They killed hundreds of Civilians in  Waziristan area of Pakistan with these drone attacks. . What action it took against its forces. What action US took against the killers of thousands of Muslims by Modi & Co in Gujrat and Indian security forces in Kashmir. Just denying visa to visit USA is no action and is ridiculous. What action it took in the massacre of innocent and unarmed civilian population of Lebanon and Palestine by the Israeli troops. Even if it is accepted  that OSAMA BIN LADEN was a terrorist but he was just an individual. What about the  states like Israel and India who are resorting to state terrorism.

The US wastes no time in mobilizing NATO and its other allies when any local uprising takes place in any Muslim country but when it happens in a country where there allies of friends are involved, they just do not bother and actually help the oppressor like in Kashmir, Palestine. The US is also trying to squeeze Pakistan by depriving it of its strategic depth in Afghanistan and giving India an increased role and space in Afghanistan. This goes to prove that US is not a reliable and trusted friend and is Anti Muslim, Anti Islam and Pakistan has had enough occasions to substantiate this argument. Pakistan has invited trouble in its own country and with its own people by pursuing the policies in the interest of US. Pakistan needs to rethink about its foreign policy and need not rely on the US. US is treating Pakistan like a prostitute and enters its territory and conducts military operations at its free will against some economic aid which is also tagged with so many conditions. Pakistani authorities shouls understand that Americans military operations within Pakistan soil are not going to stop here after the elimination of Osama. Americans will continue to conduct direct military operations inside Pakistan unilaterally on one pretext or the other. Sometimes, they will make an excuse of pursuing Mulla Omar, sometimes Al-Zuwahiri and so on and so forth. The only thing that will stop US from conducts military operations is when they suffer human losses and for that Pakistan needs to retaliate militarily. This is the only reason they pulled out from IRAQ and are now trying to find a face saving in coming out from Afghanistan.  It needs to make friends within its own country  rather than create enemies in the interest of US.

The trouble in Pakistan started after 9/11 when Pakistan shifted  its Afghan policy  and went all out against Taliban to please the US administration during the Musharraf regime. Pakistan needs to assert and survive as a free and independent Nation. Pakistan needs to generate its own resources for its survival and not depend on the US economic aid and if they are unable to do it, they have no right to exist as an independent country . Pakistan should strictly adhere to and follow the sayings of its National poet Dr Sir Muhammad Iqbal:  “Aay Tair-I-Lahoti, Us Rizk sey Mout Achi Jis Rizk sey Aaati ho parvaaz mein kotahee”. Pakistan should not bother about any military misadventure of the US as the US cannot afford to intervene directly and invade any country they want. US has in the recent past intervened directly in IRAQ and Afghanistan and has met with failures and has not been able to fulfill its desires/objectives as envisaged/planned by it and is now trying to have a face saving to come out of Afghanistan.

The US has refrained from intervening in other countries defying their dictates subsequently after Afghanistan such as Iran, North Korea etc in view of its bitter experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. US has also not taken a lead role against Libya and has left the Libyan crisis to be handled by NATO. It is a changed scenario. It has been established that it is not going to be a smooth sailing for the US to invade any country. US, instead of being a friendly country is an enemy of Pakistan. It has forced Pakistan Govt. to kill its own people and bombard them. It has also worked against Pakistan in respect of its relations with India.

Pakistan needs to enter into defence treaties and pacts with its friendly neighbouring countries like Iran, China etc and give up its dependence on United States and stand upright and live with honour, self respect and dignity.

After Bin Laden, will China become US foe?

Srinagar, May 12:  (Writer-South Asia) The demise of Osama bin Laden offers the US an opportunity to declare an end to the War on Terror. In the view of many Americans, a strategic adjustment of US foreign policy appears inevitable. Besides, the US media is riddled with analyses of how to handle a rising China, reports Global times (5 May).

Do the prescriptions and analyses imply that US policy would aim to undo the development China has achieved in recent decades?

For a long time, the Chinese people have been haunted by the anxiety that, one day, the US will confront China. This has turned out to be unfounded – so far. In the perception of experts at home and abroad, the counter-terrorism war, mainly in the Arab world, has served to prevent the US from "disturbing" China during the past decade. As trouble continues to spread in the Middle East, the US may remain pinned down in the region for another 10 years.

These viewpoints, to some extent, are reasonable but exaggerate the situation. For the US, the concerns aroused by those authoritarian states in the Arab world are not comparable to developments rooted in the rise of China. Given that China's GDP may exceed that of the US within 10 years, this may become the primary factor to threaten the latter's global hegemony.

In a US versus China scenario, will confrontation be the only option? More  people in both countries answer in the negative. For the US, it would seem rational to maintain the status quo rather than provoke China, thereby triggering risks that would  hurt the US.

In the near future, the US may pour more money and resources in handling the rise of China. As a counterweight, China has enough power to prevent the revival of the kind of confrontation the US had with the former Soviet Union. China's peaceful rise might be unsettling to the US, but that has not spurred recasting of its foreign policy toward the world's most populous country. Besides, it is not a coincidence that China's pace of development has dwarfed the efforts of the US to contain China.

A down-to-earth approach would be to expand further the vibrant Sino-US economic cooperation, which is a powerful enough process to squeeze out any right-wing paranoia in the US. Periodic skirmishes between the US and China may be unavoidable, but downright deterioration in bilateral relations could be destructive to both.

No external force can stop China's rise. What China needs is confidence in maintaining its rapid development. A confident China can prevent any molehill of a dispute with the US growing into a mountain of conflict.

Doubtless, the US is an omnipresent superpower. The rise of China is certain to cause friction with the US, and this demands the prevalence of a peaceful and calm mindset on both sides. Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger once noted that if the US treats China as a foe, China would be a foe. Put differently, from the Chinese perspective: If China treats the US as a foe, the US would be a foe.

US War on terrorism turned war against Islam and Muslims

Srinagar, May 9: Muslims Worldwide Seething with Anger at West and their own rulers. States Sri Lankan journalist at Islamabad gathering

“The United States led west has unleashed a global crusade against Islam and Muslims under the guise of fighting a war on terrorism” was the theme of a speech by Sri Lankan journalist and author Latheef Farook at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute-IPRI.

Addressing the gathering of researchers and others Latheef Farook explained how this carefully planned and ruthlessly implemented anti Muslim campaign strikes at the very root of the political, economic, religious, social and cultural survival of Muslims worldwide.

He added that “never in the fascinating and inspiring more than 14 century history of Islam has such a vicious campaign been undertaken jointly by the Zionist Jews, regarded as the architects, Evangelical Christians and RSS Hindu extremists.

He explained that this conspiracy, commenced in the aftermath of the collapse of the former Soviet Union in 1989, was unleashed with all its ferocity following the controversial 9/11 events at the World Trade Centre in New York. Islam was associated with barbarity and evil despite Islam being a religion of peace.

For example, following the collapse of the former Soviet Union, all Christian  east bloc countries such as Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czechhoslavokia, Bulgaria and others were  allowed to go free and join the  European union. However this generosity was not extended to the Central Asian Muslim republics such as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kirgizstan.

Instead all these central Asian Muslim republics were quickly brought under the newly formed Commonwealth of Independent states,CIS, to ensure continuous Russian control over them.

In 1991 Chechen Muslims declared independence and Russia unleashed its military might and committed medieval style massacres causing horrific scenes of death and destruction everywhere. The war killed more than 20,000 Chechens and around 100,000 Russian soldiers. Chechen refugees returned home and started to resume normal life when Russia  bombed an apartment building in Moscow in 1999, blamed Chechens and launched its second military strike which virtually emptied Chechnya of its people under its scorched earth policy.Grozny, the Chechen capital, was reduced to a ghost city and the people ended up as refugees in neighboring Ingushetia.

In an April 1992 referendum predominantly Muslim Bosnia Herzegovina declared independence and emerged as a separate state. Responding with extreme violence Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic arrested Bosnian Muslims, detained them in warehouses, starved and tortured them before killing them en masse. This carnage continued uninterrupted for three long years under the watchful eyes of the champions of human rights in Washington. London and Paris where then President Jacques Chirac openly declared that “France will never allow a Muslim entity in Europe”. These atrocities climaxed when Serbs committed the largest ever genocide of about 10,000 Muslims who were under United Nations custody in the Bosnian city of Srebrenica.

The United Nations Security Council imposed arms embargo on the victims, Bosnian Muslims who are as blue eyed as rest of the Europeans while no such embargo was imposed on the perpetrators of the genocide- the Serbs.

In the autonomies Yugoslavian province of Kosovo, where more than 90 percent of the population were Muslims, Serbs committed similar massacres such as in Bosnia.

Somalia with a population of about 4.5 million Muslims descended into anarchy due to the failure of the United Nations. In fact the US wanted to use Somalia as an experimental laboratory for regime change and turned this once peaceful nation into a lawless killing field. It is today a wasteland.

In the December 1991 Parliamentary elections in Algeria the Islamic party, FIS, won with a large majority. However the military backed by most Arab dictators and France, installed a dictator, crushed the peoples’ dream and triggered off a civil war which turned this oil rich peaceful country into yet another killing field.

We also know how US former US President George Bush Senior tricked Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, blackmailed the world and formed a coalition, mobilized the military might of the west, got the UN to legalize military strikes and attacked Iraq, killed innocent Iraqis, destroyed cities and virtually pushed Iraq, as pointed out by former US President Jimmy Carter, into the middle ages. Subsequent US sponsored UN economic sanctions, described by UN officials as genocide, killed more than half a million children alone.

The true purpose of this engineered war was revealed when George Bush Sr said “that Israel is safe in the region and oil flows uninterrupted”.

In India Hindu extremists led by L.K.Advani destroyed the Babri Masjid on 6 December 1992 and triggered off violence which killed thousands of Muslims. Ten years later on 27 February 2002 yet another Hindu Saffron terror leader  Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat, bombed a train carrying Hindu pilgrims, blamed innocent Muslims under a well organized conspiracy, killed thousands of Muslims, destroyed Muslim owned properties and virtually reduced the Muslims into refugees to languish in camps in appalling conditions.

In the process of this global campaign, the legitimate freedom struggle of Muslims all over such as the Palestinian struggle against brutal Israeli oppression and continuous killings, Indian atrocities in Kashmir and the like have been overlooked while the Western media, an integral part of the Western war machine, continues to demonize Islam and Muslims and mislead the world to justify this evil design.

This campaign climaxed in the aftermath of the 9/11 events in New York in 2001. Within hours, former US President turned warmonger George Bush Junior, together with disgraced former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, accused Al Qaeda of destroying the WTC without any proper inquiry. Exploiting the mood of the country in its wake, Bush blackmailed the shocked and confused world, created a coalition and invaded within 27 days the war battered and impoverished Afghanistan where he slaughtered innocent and poverty stricken Afghans in one of the most barbarous military ventures of its kind in modern history.

Killing innocent  men, women, children and the aged has become common in Afghanistan which continues to bleed to ensure the agendas of neo cons and corporate war mongers.

In an act described by late British playwright and Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter as “banditry”   Bush and Blair, illegally invaded Iraq in 2003 and virtually turned this once almost developed country into a waste land. Around 1.4 million innocent Iraqis were killed, hundreds of thousands of innocent men and women were tortured and killed, women indiscriminately raped, infrastructure destroyed and birth, marriage, death, land and vehicle registration offices burnt causing chaos in the society.

Around four million Iraqis who lived in peace were forced into refugee camps in neighboring countries to languish in sub human conditions. More than two million Iraqis were made refugees in their own country.   Shiites and Sunnis were put against each other turning Iraq into a killing field where, with the help of a puppet government, western oil companies started looting the country’s oil wealth while the Iraqis starved.

In Palestine the periodic slaughter of Palestinians continues uninterrupted by the Israelis with the complete backing of the US and Europe.

And now they have turned their attention on Pakistan. These are the champions  of human rights who accuse small countries of human rights violations.

The frightening situation today is such that every Muslim with a beard and a head cap and every Muslim woman with a Hijab have been branded as terrorists and humiliated. The tragedy is that most Muslim countries, ruled by mostly lackeys of   the West, openly and secretly collaborate with these Western crusaders against their own people to ensure their own survival.

Today Muslims worldwide pass through their most critical period in their history. Muslims have been attacked and killed all over under various pretexts. Muslim refugees walking in sheer desperation in search of shelter with their meager belongings have become a common sight worldwide.

Helpless Muslims worldwide are seething with anger at the west and their own rulers. No one knows what would be the outcome. The situation is so frightening that Wolfram Richter, the Economic Professor of the University of Dortmund, has expressed fears that “the next holocaust would be against Muslims”; thus concluded Latheef Farook.

The meeting, followed by a stimulating question and answer session, was chaired by IPRI Chairman Dr Maqsudul Hasan Nuri.

“The United States led west has unleashed a global crusade against Islam and Muslims under the guise of fighting a war on terrorism” was the theme of a speech by Sri Lankan journalist and author Latheef Farook at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute,IPRI, on Thursday 18 March 2010.

We also know how US President George Bush Senior tricked Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait, blackmailed the world and formed a coalition, mobilized the military might of the west, got the UN to legalize military strikes and attacked Iraq, killed innocent Iraqis, destroyed cities and virtually pushed Iraq, as pointed out by former US President Jimmy Carter, into the middle ages.

Ten years later on 27 February 2002 yet another Hindu extremist Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat, bombed a train carrying Hindu pilgrims, blamed innocent Muslims under a well organized conspiracy, killed thousands of Muslims, destroyed Muslim owned properties and virtually reduced the Muslims into refugees to languish in camps in appalling conditions.

Indian attack will trigger nuclear standoff : (CIA) can’t achieve success in war against terror without ISI’s support. Pakistan

Lahore, May 8: Pakistan has told United States that any surgical operation carried by India on the pattern of Abbotabad operation will lead to nuclear stand-off between the two countries.

Pakistan’s leading newspaper, The Nation quoted sources as having revealed that the top hierarchy in the country’s establishment has straightforwardly told the United States to “inculcate into the minds of Indians” that any type of misadventure could lead to an all out nuclear standoff between the two South Asian neighbours.

“The US violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty has set a very dangerous precedence, which hostile powers and particularly India can try to follow the same pattern. India needs to understand that such a transgression will be treated as an act of war by Pakistan,” sources said.

They said US needs to ensure that India gets this message loud and clear and doesn’t embark on an misadventure, which may plunge the region into a nuclear standoff’.

Another official, requesting anonymity, said that the US victory was made possible only due to the support of the ISI, the country’s premier intelligence agency.

He also made it clear that major victories against al Qaeda have been made possible only due to the efforts of the ISI and any future successes could only be achieved if there is a ‘close and meaningful cooperation’ between CIA and ISI.

‘They (CIA) can’t achieve success in war against terror without ISI’s support. Failure to unearth Osama’s presence at Abbottabad should not be allowed to tarnish a sterling performance by the ISI in the past nor be made a measure of its performance in the future’, a senior Defence Ministry official involved in counter-terrorism planning in post Osama scenario said.

The Assassination of Sheikh Osama bin Laden

Whose gain, whose loss?
THE MISSION OSAMA
BUT THE BIGGER QUESTION IS THIS. WAS OSAMA WORTH TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS US SPENT ON TRACKING HIM DOWN AND THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS KILLED IN THE PROCESS, reports SHOAIB SHAH

Obama announces Osama dead. Congratulations America, Congratulations Obama. You have done it. Good Job. And here does the American and others celebrate the death for most of the people of the world this day marks as an end of the terrorist activities to a very significant level. All accepted, but do we realize what Americans have lost and what exactly they have gained. The US president applauded his team who were involved in the killing of Osama Bin Ladin but here should we not understand that Osama was just an ordinary man, an individual whom the US itself projected as the world’s most wanted and the number one threat to the American race inspite of the fact that no concrete proof was established for his involvement of the September 11 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Opinion Research Business published an update to the survey on 28 January 2008, indicating the death figures in Iraq Conflict crossing 1,033,000 and an estimated cost of three Trillion Dollars. The result of the three Trillion dollar war is just a mere assassination of an individual called Osama. Was Osama’s life worth killing millions of innocents and spending trillions of dollars? Similar persons who are involved in the killing of innocents through fake encounters wander freely here in the Kashmir and they are no other than the top officers of the Indian army and paramilitary persons, whom the government have given medals and mementos for the killings and when the government acquire the proof for their involvement in the innocent killings, the officials are either retired as top brass commanders and majors enjoying a luxurious life in some foreign country or are either dead. No doubt that these officials are not involved in such huge magnitude of slaughter as that of the Sep 11 2001 massacre but Islam says if a person kills even a single innocent; it amounts as to the murder of the entire mankind.

The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 resulted in 2,996 deaths, including the 19 hijackers and 2,977 victims. To seek revenge, the US adminstration started tracing Osama and ultimately started a massacre by entering into war with Afghanistan and Iraq. Every conscious human might be aware of the fact that when the US entered into the war, the super power had not known its trajectory before they launched the attack. The Iraq War, referred to as the Second Gulf War, a military campaign began on March 20, 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by a multinational force led by troops from the United States under the administration of President George W. Bush and the United Kingdom under Prime Minister Tony Blair and till this date there seems to be no end to it. The United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) got access by Iraq under provisions of the UN resolution but found no evidence of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) that the US had claimed to be in procession of the Iraq. Notwithstanding the verification, ultimately US entered in war with Iraq and killing innocents under the cover of tracing the WMD, which till date the US has failed to locate any. Accusing Iraqi President Saddam Hussein of harboring and supporting al-Qaeda, with no evidence of a meaningful connection resulted in the most inhuman act of violence and terrorism, when lacs of innocent, including Saddam Hussain and family got killed ruthlessly. This is how the US refers to their efforts of protecting innocent lives. Finally Obama announced an 18-month withdrawal window for combat forces, but with approximately 50,000 troops remaining in the country on the pretext of advising and training Iraqi security forces and to provide intelligence and surveillance after claiming that the security and economic indicators had began to show signs of improvement, again a mere statement that till date has not been achieved. Instead of the stiff opposition to the initiation of the war with Iraq, the US and the NATO country officials ignored the call and start the bloody massacre. Not contended with the bloody massacre the US simultaneously started yet another fresh brutal carnage of the innocents by the infliction of the war in Afghanistan in an effort to dismantle Al-Qaida and the end to the Taliban Regime. The George W. Bush administration dared to state that, as policy, it would not distinguish between terrorist organizations and nations or governments that harbor them, thereby giving his uniformed men open access to start homicide of the innocent poor illiterate public of the Afghanistan. The war inflicted on poor helpless Afghans rendered thousands homeless, in addition to the hundreds and thousands of people being slaughtered at the hands of the force. Not contended, Barack Obama announced in dec 2009 a deployment of an additional 30,000 soldiers over a period of six months apparently, I guess in order to complete the massacre that the former US president had given birth to.  He also set a withdrawal date for the year 2014, envisaging that the Afghan race would have been erased out by then thereby safeguarding the people of America. An estimated cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as per the Center for Defense Information is tabled below.

Spending such a huge amount of dollars on arms and armies is purely inherently undesirable and unwarranted. Even if it seems necessary, it constitutes a misappropriation of already scarce resources. America has been diverting social capital from productive to destructive purposes, war and the preparation for war deplete, rather than enhancing its strength. Assertion of military necessity might camouflage the costs entailed, but the US can never negate them altogether. The amount that the US had spend on these wars could have been utilized in a constructive purpose rather than destructing the countries of Iraq and Afghanistan. Every artillery or firearm that is made, every warship launched, every missile fired signifies, in the concluding sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed and as such any nation that diverts its treasure into the purchase of weaponry is ultimately spending more than mere money. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, and the dreams of its children. As a matter of fact, the cost of one modern heavy bomber equals to that of constructing a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. For a single destroyer that the US fires, it spends more money than that could have constructed new homes catering more than 8,000 people. Americans face a sustained period of 10% unemployment nationwide, and still the US administration wasted $100 billion and probably more on an un-winnable war. Can Obama afford to spend on building more prisons and bases, or occupy another country by bombarding Libya or Syria. Rather should it focus on investing in America’s future? Inspite of all these facts, the US admin thinks that getting Osama was its priority and a hurdle in the achievement of a peaceful America.

In addition, there have been other incalculable costs: the death and trauma of U.S. soldiers and Afghan civilians and similar hidden costs. The costs are too high, and the mission had never been clear enough. Senior security personals of America, who have served for their country and spend sufficient time in these countries, believe that they (Al-Qaida) have only a few people in Afghanistan. A recent assessment on veteran suicide rates demonstrated that for the second year in a row, the U.S. military lost more troops to suicide in 2010 than it did to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. The services reported 468 suicides by personnel on duty in 2010 which exceeds the total number of personnel lost in combat (462). These statistics do not only draw attention to the alarming inflating rates of suicides in the military, they demonstrate something more and Obama should have the answer for them. He thinks he has given America something to celebrate, but in real sense he has brought a huge loss to his own people.

The Lowdown on Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo plant available at: http://jkmpic.blogspot.com

This popular herbal supplement may slightly improve your memory, but you can get the same effect by eating a candy bar.

The ginkgo tree (Ginkgo biloba) is remarkable in many ways. Although indigenous to Korea, China and Japan, Kashmir, Pakistan the tree can be found in parks and along city sidewalks around the world. It may grow as high as 40 meters and live for more than 1,000 years. Ginkgo fossils have been dated as far back as 250 million years ago, and Charles Darwin referred to the tree as "a living fossil."Nowadays, however, the ginkgo's primary claim to fame is the extract obtained from its fan-shaped leaves.

The use of ginkgo leaf extracts can be traced back for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Today ginkgo biloba is perhaps the most widely used herbal treatment aimed at augmenting cognitive functions--that is, improving memory, learning, alertness, mood and so on. Ginkgo is especially popular in Europe; officials in Germany recently approved the extract for treating dementia. In the U.S. the National Institute on Aging is currently supporting a clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of ginkgo in treating the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.

Osama bin Laden DEAD: The one time that he mentioned Kashmir

Srinagar, May 6: Though no attack on India has been directly tracked back to Osama bin Laden, the motley group of Al-Jehad everywhere who united under the Al-Qaeda umbrella might have supported terror attacks on Indian soil.

Even though the dreaded self-proclaimed holy warrior only once mentioned India in his televised addresses, he was regarded a credible threat to the country, as a terrorist with the means to galvanise and support various groups working against the state.

In a statement aired by Al Jazeera on April 23, 2006, bin Laden spoke of India and Kashmir for the first time directly and claimed there was a Zionist-Hindu conspiracy against Muslims.

Geelani asks people to offer funeral prayers in absentia for Osama bin Laden

Srinagar, 5 May: Chairman of Kashmir based Hurriyat Conference-APHC  has urged Imams and people to hold funeral prayers in absentia for Sheikh Osama bin Laden after Friday prayers tomorrow afternoon, a APHC spokesman said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit has paid rich tributes to its slain commanders including Gazi Naseeb-ud-Din on their anniversaries. In and emailed statement a spokesman of Hizb said, “An obituary meeting of Hizb Command Council was held in Muzafferabad under the chairmanship of Syed Salah-ud Din where glowing tributes were paid to Gazi Naseeb-ud-Din, Engineer Firdous Kirmani, Commander Manzoor Khan alias MK and Abdul Majeed Wani alias Gazi Illyas on their 14 martyrdom anniversary.”

The Hizb commanders were killed allegedly in custody after their arrest on March 6, 1997. “The commanders were martyred in custody after they refused to divulge secrets of the organization. They were given third degree torture,” he alleged.

A Canadian newspaper, which reported the Hizb link to the house, said Pakistan was hushing up the issue of ownership of the place.

Quoting an unnamed police source in Pakistan, Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail reported that the mansion where bin Laden lived belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen. "But the authorities have asked us not to share any information about the exact ownership," the paper said.

Land-registry officials in Abbottabad were summoned to a meeting on Tuesday and urged to keep quiet. "They are being instructed not to say anything about the land-ownership issue."

American officials have described the owners as 'brothers', and neighbours recalled seeing a pair of men, possibly ethnic Pashtuns from the rugged western frontier, who largely kept to themselves. Their names were reported in the local media as Bada Khan and Chota Khan.

A Pakistani official said the mystery surrounding the two men has deepened with the discovery that their national identity cards were fake. Demands grew louder on Tuesday for an investigation that would determine what support bin Laden received inside Pakistan.

Hizb, the biggest Cashmerian group in J&K, has a large local component of young Cashmiris. It was formed in 1990, at the initiative of the  Jamaat-e-Islami by merging nearly a dozen small  organisations of J&K and Pakistan-administered Kashmir-PAK. The outfit headed by Syed Salahuddin has several camps across the LOC in PK.

If the ownership is traced to Hizbul Mujahideen, it would mark an unusual example of co-operation between the militant group and its more extreme cousin, Al-Qaeda, the report said. HM has maintained a narrow focus on removing Indian forces from Kashmir, while al-Qaeda pursues global ambitions.

"This is the first time I've heard of links between Hizbul Mujahedeen and Osama, but its members would probably admire him," Stratfor's South Asia regional director Kamran Bokhari said.

Like other groups fighting Indian troops in the borderlands, HM's membership has never been rounded up by Pakistani forces, said the report, noting that some analysts say that Islamabad covertly supports the group.

Pakistan has denied any collusion with Cashmerian groups, saying that its leading intelligence service had been sharing information with US counterparts since 2009 about the compound where bin Laden was found.

Still, in the wake of the raid, Islamabad scrambled to ensure that precise ownership of the compound would not become public knowledge, and any link to HM would deepen Pakistan's embarrassment over bin Laden's death.

According to media reports, Hizbul Mujahideen, a cashmirian active in disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir, owns the mansion that sheltered Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad.

The Assassination of Mr. Sheikh Osama bin Laden

By Sheikh GULZAAR
Srinagar, May3 : The Assassination of Mr. Sheikh Osama bin Laden actually comes to late and has been a total waste of effort on the United States Navy's elite SEAL Team 6, this is because Osama bin Laden had already proved his ability as the Al Qaeda chief on the successful planning of 9/11. After this success Al Qaeda and the Taliban new that his Duty was over and after 9/11 he did not plan any other attacks.

Members of The Al Qaeda and Taliban never questions the actions of there Chief and other members do not create politics on step on toes to become a Chief when there is a already a Chief, even thought Osama bin Laden did not plan more attacks, his health was failing and he was also becoming old other member did not try to become chief but respected Osama bin Laden as the chief and let him be to live the way he wanted without questioning or asking him to plan or lead.

Members of The Al Qaeda and Taliban were just waiting for Osama bin Laden to die in action or of natural causes to start the process of appointing a new Chief. The US need to really be worried now as the new chief may be a young person whom will not hesitate to use the worst methods to fight for there cause. unlike Osama bin Laden whom new the limits to fight for there cause.
